Arasor sells products for:

- Optically driven wireless networks and solutions that enable wireless communications and faster wireless broadband access ("Radio over fiber" networks)

- Optical networking components and subsystems leveraging unique optoelectronic chips

Strong consumer demand for faster internet access and richer content is motivating telecommunication carriers to upgrade their existing fibre optic infrastructure and deliver new fibre optic services, such as fibre to the premises (“FTTP”). Consumers are also driving demand for "untethered" access to the internet and equipment build outs in both optical networks and wireless access networks.

Alternatives to FTTP include the use of wireless technologies like WiFi and WiMax to reach consumers directly, effectively “leaping over” the “last mile” of existing wired infrastructure.

At Arasor, we believe that fibre optics and wireless technologies are complimentary. For example, Arasor’s optoelectronic chips form the heart of the optical components that convert electrical data into optical signals for high speed and bandwidth transmission along fibre optic networks. These same components can power our RoF wireless access systems. As wireless systems continue to be deployed to provide consumers with convenient and untethered access to the internet, more bandwidth is required to support this increased access. As a result, sales of our RoF wireless access systems fuel additional sales of our optical networking products forming the basis of our synergistic business model.

In developing countries such as China & India, and even in first world countries such as Australia, wireless access to the internet offers a cost effective and consumer friendly alternative to digging up sidewalks and roads to deploy more cable. This fundamental infrastructure benefit drives service providers without legacy networks to deploy next generation wireless solutions.

Wireless Networks

Arasor manufactures and complete solutions for its customers who are Tier 1 telecommunications carriers like BSNL in India and China Netcom.

These solutions cover core network processes, transmission infrastructure and the ability to receive wireless broadband. Products include backhaul, base stations and CPE or terminal devices.

Arasor has also established a joint venture with China Techfaith (NASDAQ: CNTF) which is focused on manufacturing wireless handsets for the world’s emerging markets.

Optical Networking

Arasors manufactures and sells Optical networking components and subsystems leveraging our unique optoelectronic chips. Our management team includes global leaders in this field while our clients are Tier 1 telco systems providers like Pirelli, Avanex and Alcatel.
